What a turnaround! – Georgie Wood

It seems very few months ago that it looked like that we might have no season at all this year, but thanks to Lucinda for her recommendation of Tommy, who has become our new farrier, we managed to pull it all back together and compete at 6 events in the final three months of the […]

Rather a belated Happy New Year to everyone! – Georgie Wood

We were skiing in France over Christmas which was a real treat and a great change of scene, but unfortunately slightly plagued by revision and looming exams. With January exams finally out of the way I have a few spare minutes to write our new blog!     It has been quieter than planned horse-wise […]

End of Season Blog 2016 – Georgie Wood

I can’t believe that when I last wrote, Jimmy had just done his first pre-novice (BE100) and here we are at the end of the season, 10 weeks down the line, having now done 5 pre-novices very positively and consistently, improving every time. Jimmy has now gone on his very well deserved winter holiday to […]

A productive few months – Georgie Wood

It has been a little while since my last blog but I am pleased with how things are coming along, having had a productive few months… May was full of lessons and show jumping outings – we had some excellent lessons and Jimmy continued to improve throughout with increasingly good rounds. However, we have had […]

Officially Begun! – Georgie

I managed to find a conveniently timed hunter […]

A good month of progress – Georgie Wood

It is much quieter just having one horse in work but I am beginning to get used to a slightly different lifestyle which means more time to be in London, take on additional work and to give my degree a little more attention which is all good stuff!               […]

All Change – Georgie Wood

January has been a month of serious change, some good and some sad. The biggest change has been the retirement of Shining Surprise. After months of deliberation as his maintenance became harder, to a point where it was almost unsustainable, accompanied by an underlying weakness it didn’t seem fair to any of us to keep […]

Getting the plans in place – Georgie Wood

Firstly, Happy New Year to everybody and I hope you all had lovely Christmases! We sold T in November to a lovely home in Sussex. He is such a special boy and his home was a really important factor in his sale. He is going really well for them which is very pleasing and I […]

What a year! – Georgie Wood

What a year! Although we didn’t have the end of the season that we had planned for – this has been my best season yet. We did our first international test in top hat and tails at Gatcombe and Shining Surprise really rose to the occasion, enjoying working in a long arena – his score […]

Stepping Up – Georgie Wood

It doesn’t seem like very long ago that I was writing my July blog but nevertheless a lot has been going on! The main objective for this month was for Archie to have a successful step up to Intermediate – I was particularly excited about this step up having spent the last 7 years at […]
