I would like to start my first blog by saying a massive thank you to #RBTeam for sponsoring me for the year!
I started endurance six years ago, but have been crewing since I was able to carry a slosh bottle for my grandmother who still competes now. I would suggest to anyone that wants to learn more about endurance offers to crew for someone or help out at a ride for the day because you learn so much from doing it! Polly 1 has been the best horse, she is owned by my grandmother but I have been her sole trainer and rider in the main and we have completed 1600km together. I compete for several owners on a variety of horses from 14hh to 16hh ranging from 32kms to 120kms. I compete most weekends so I’m kept pretty busy!
I competed my first CEI120km** at Kings Forest at the end of May which has to be my best result to date and this year I would really love to do another 120km. I have recently just bought my first horse for myself, Spanish Heir, a six year old Anglo-Arab. This year I would like to do some novice graded rides with him so that he is ready to do longer distances at the start of 2016. Ultimately I would love to represent Great Britain at a WEG, whether that’s 2018, 2022 or even 2026 I’ll get there!
