End of the Summer Season – Erin Cullimore

This summer has been one of the busiest summers I’ve ever had.

I have had many horses come and go for schooling, backing, sales, competition livery, and of course my own out and about competing.

Pasha

Pasha

All the horses have out done themselves this year and this summer will definitely be one to remember. Pasha has been on top form qualifying for the Discovery regionals in 4 consecutive shows and also qualifying for 3 classes at Scope. She jumped brilliantly at Scope, her first championship, taking everything in her stride and gaining confidence and experience over the week, and jumped brilliantly at the Nationals for our BS area.

Joly

Joly

Joly has also been jumping brilliantly, qualifying for 2 classes at Scope, and even managing to jump a double clear and coming 12th in the Graham Heath prelim, qualifying for the indoor championship where she just had one down. We’ve now decided to up the height with her as she was starting to find British Novice too small, and she has already gained a win and a 3rd in the two Discoverys she has jumped.

Fletcher

Fletcher

Both Toby and Fletcher qualified for 2 classes at Scope in the Cashjumping, and of course both of them loved being back at a big championship! On the first day Fletcher won the open class, and Toby just had a fence down. On the second day, Fletcher had another win and Toby came 5th, then on the last day they were both a bit tired but Toby managed to pull it out the bag by becoming reserve champion in his championship class! We came back with rugs, gorgeous rosettes and over £300 in prize money!

Trinnie is currently coming back in to work, and feeling great! I’m hoping she will be out jumping BS in April, ready to get her British Novice double clears and qualify for various championships.

All the horses had a bit of post Scope time off and are now raring to go for the winter season. My main aims for the winter season are:

–  Gain my 4 Discovery double clears with Joly
–  Qualify for the Amateur Championships with Trinnie, Joly and Pasha
–  Qualify for the Blue Chip Championships in April
–  Gain points towards the RoR league with Pasha
–  Gain 4 British Novice double clears with Trinnie

All of the horses are still looking and feeling great on their Solution Mash, keeping them in good condition even with it becoming colder. Their coats are also still looking so shiny and healthy!

Hopefully the next blog will have some more amazing results in it!
